Noordin Street Flats (GPS: 5.41049, 100.33393) is a block of flat bounded by Noordin Street Ghaut, Magazine Road
and the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway. The flat is one of the earliest projects by the municipal authorities to house
the urban working class of George Town.
Noordin Street Flats is seventeen storeys tall. At the time of its completion in the late 1970's, it was the tallest
building in George Town. This being a predominantly Chinese neighbourhood, there are many Taoist shrines and temples
in its vicinity. The most prominent is Hean Leng Tnua.
